Fusion is a psychological horror short film by filmmaker and director Angelo Acevedo, created through FSF Films and officially selected for Tucson Terrorfest 2026.

For years, FSF Films has focused on capturing real people, automotive culture, events, entertainment, and stories through a camera. Over the past year, Angelo began taking that experience in a new direction, moving deeper into filmmaking, directing, documentaries, and original storytelling. Fusion became the first narrative film to come from that transition.

The film was created in a single night with a small crew, a budget of less than $100, and the equipment and resources available at the time. Rather than waiting for the perfect budget, crew, or opportunity, the goal was simple: take an original idea and turn it into a finished film.

That approach was influenced in part by one of Angelo’s favorite filmmakers, Robert Rodriguez. His independent beginnings and resourceful approach to filmmaking have long been an inspiration. The idea of using what is available, creating something original, finishing it, and continuing to build from there became an important part of the mindset behind Fusion.

Running just 2 minutes and 34 seconds, Fusion is a psychological horror story about choice, consequence, and the darkness that can exist within a person. The film was directed by Angelo Acevedo from a story by Angelo Acevedo, starring Paul Georgeff and Tyler Raymond, produced by Christie Sena, with Joseph Sena serving as sound engineer.

After the film was completed, Fusion entered the film festival circuit, bringing Angelo into another unfamiliar part of filmmaking for the first time.

The response was not immediate.

Fusion received 18 festival rejections.

Then came the one yes that changed the journey.

In October 2026, Fusion was officially selected for Tucson Terrorfest 2026 and invited to screen before a festival audience in Tucson, Arizona.

That selection carries a different meaning than a view count, follower milestone, or social media achievement. Fusion was sent into the world on its own, judged as a piece of filmmaking, rejected, and submitted again. Eventually, someone on the other side of that process decided it deserved a place on their screen.

For a film created in one night for less than $100, that moment means a great deal to everyone who helped bring it to life.

Fusion will screen Sunday, October 18, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Poe’s Art House in Tucson, Arizona, as part of Tucson Terrorfest 2026.

For Angelo Acevedo and FSF Films, Fusion represents the beginning of a larger commitment to filmmaking and original storytelling. There is still much to learn, more stories to tell, and more films to make.

Every journey has to start somewhere.

This is Chapter One.
