In 2020 I decided it was time to pursue my dream of filmmaking. Recognizing my journey would be self-taught I utilized MasterClass, YouTube tutorials and online books. I studied the histories of Directors I look up to like Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, and Robert Rodriguez. Their journeys inspired me showing how hard

work and perseverance can turn passion into reality.

My love for cars, especially lowriders, runs deep. It’s been a part of my family and culture, passed down through generations. Lowriders, classic cars, muscle cars each one tells a story. I began to focus my filmmaking on car content, to learn filming techniques, editing skills, how to tell a story and build an audience. I developed relationships with promoters, car clubs and small business owners.

I continued that journey into casino content when I started Crow Slots. Through Crow Slots I’ve learned the difference between being a content creator and an influencer. This led to vlog style videos, interviews, and numerous collaborations. I’ve learned the art of relationship building working with casinos, manufacturers, and other influencers. Those relationships led me to business collaborations and promotion opportunities.

I began to see that much of my work aligns with the digital marketing space and I began taking online courses and have several certifications. In addition, to my creator and influencer content I am creating digital campaigns, utilizing my platforms for digital advertising and promotions. I am also collaborating with other creators, influencers, brands, and business owners to develop their online presence and how to harness the power of digital marketing.

This has been an exciting journey and has given me the opportunity to obtain the equipment and skills to start making short films based on storylines I develop.

No matter what I’m filming it’s about creating an emotional connection between the story and the viewer. For me, this journey is about creativity, connection, and the stories that bring us together.

Looking ahead, I will continue to develop the quality of my short films, enter film festivals, and eventually work on feature films. Bringing my audience with me is part of that journey. I know I have a community who will support me and offer valuable feedback.

One of the best parts of this journey is the incredible people I’ve met. From car owners, who generously share their prized vehicles to viewers who stop me at events and say they’ve seen my work. As well as influencers and businesses who have collaborated with me. It’s those moments that remind me why I’m doing this. Hearing someone say my films brought back a memory or made their day better is the ultimate reward.
